Bob H. Smith Wheelchair Benefit - Sept. 6th @ The Stone Pony

Huge benefit at the Stone Pony on Sept. 6th (Labor Day Weekend)

$15. Tickets are avaialable at Computer Doctors, 654 Cookman Ave. Unit 19 Asbury Park, NJ 07712. Please contact Timothy J. McGuire @ 732-516-8565 for more details...

Bob H. Smith is a very kind and caring person who was diagnosed with a spinal cord tumor 3 years ago.

The surgery left him paralyzed from the ribcage down. Bob is now bed-ridden at a long term care facility in Brick, NJ. Bobs constant medical needs prohibit him from ever living on his own again.

Medicare has denied Bob H. Smith his wheelchair that he so desperately needs to live some resemblance of a normal life with his disability.

This benefit will try to raise enough money to get Bob H. Smith the wheelchair and to try to give him hope and some positivity in his life.

Bob Smith is one of the founders of the Pony's Hippy Army promotions group. Bob was always the guy who got you to a show and made sure you had a good time. A difficult back surgery has left Bob unable to walk. This benefit is specifically to purchase Bob a state of the art wheelchair so he can once again join us at the shows. For more information e-mail Tim "Batz" McGuire at: mcg0817@optonline.net

We have the outside summer stage as well as the inside stage and tickets are only $15 pre-sale and $20 at the door. Featuring Splintered Sunlight, Greg Merritt's Heavy Road, Doug Mikula Band, Karmic Juggernaut, Lemon Juice. Please try to make it out and tell all your friends. Five Crucial Components of Web Design

Professional website developers know the importance of web design and the role it plays in making a website successful.

Designing a successful website is no easy task, especially for someone who is new to the world of web development. With the help of web development applications many people can and do create decent websites. But decent in most cases is not good enough to make a site successful from a traffic or financial standpoint.

There are five crucial components of web design that you must focus on in order to make a site valuable to its visitors and successful for you.

Are SEOs the 'Bad Guys'?

There have been a couple of pretty interesting articles written this week that ask a legitimate (if not somewhat sensationalized) question: Does Google consider SEOs to be criminals?

SEOs being SEOs are, by definition, people who make a living trying to manipulate the results of search engines. Now, before you eat me alive here... I don't necessarily mean manipulate in a negative sense. But in many aspects 'optimization' and 'manipulation' are somewhat interchangeable terms. An SEO 'optimizes' a site in an attempt to enhance that site's search engine rank or placement. By moving a site in the results, you are, by definition, manipulating the results.

There is nothing wrong with that. There are lots of sites that aren't 'search engine friendly' and lots of sites that just do things 'wrong' that, when fixed, will notice an enhancement in their positioning for search queries relevant to their site. Search engines don't mind this. The existence of resources like Webmaster Central are a testament to this.

When Should You Fire Your Website Designer

When Should You Fire Your Website Designer

Your online business is not a wild crazy idea, but a source of income. Trust the right people to design your website. Your 17 year old nephew may be able to create your website or you can get a free one from several services...they might even be kind of pretty. In my research and experience, less than 2% of businesses that have websites have planted the seeds to online success. Many of them are your competitors.

The problem is web designers' focus on the technical aspects of the site. They don't have a clue how to build a website that makes you a ton of money, drives floods of traffic, and gets you top placement on search engines.

Quick Intro To SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

If you’ve spent time (or are simply curious) about online marketing, then the topic of search engine optimization (SEO) usually comes up. And, no discussion of searchengine anything is complete these days without some mention of Google. This article provides a brief overview of how Google ranks search results with a look at their PageRank™ algorithm (a key component). I’m not a search engine expert (that’s the bad news). The good news is that I know enough to describe Google PageRank in relatively simple terms (such that you can impress your friends and family with your new-found knowledge).
